A lyric video to accompany the release of "Get Free" was first released onto YouTube on 15 April 2012 at a total length of five minutes. [1] The official video, directed by So Me, was released on 23 August 2012. Filmed in Kingston, Jamaica, "Get Free" takes the viewer on a candid journey of Jamaican culture. In 2015, English singer Newton Faulkner recorded "Get Free" for his fifth studio album, Human Love . The cover of the song was released as the lead single from the album on 27 November 2015, while a music video was released on 15 September 2015. [4] [5]

In 2007 Faulkner's debut studio album Hand Built by Robots was certified double platinum in the United Kingdom. The album topped the UK Albums Chart in August 2007. It was promoted by three singles, "Dream Catch Me", "I Need Something" and "Teardrop". "Dream Catch Me" reached number seven on the UK Singles Charts.
Amber Dawn Coffman is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California, formerly based in Brooklyn, New York. She was formerly a guitarist for Sleeping People, and was later a guitarist and vocalist for the indie rock band Dirty Projectors. She released her debut studio album as a solo artist, City of No Reply in June 2017.
