The Golden Globe Awards are accolades bestowed for excellence in both American and international film and television. It is an annual award ceremony held since 1944 to honor artists and professionals and their work. The ceremony is normally held every January, and has been a major part of the film industry's awards season, which culminates each year in the Academy Awards. The eligibility period for the Golden Globes corresponds to the calendar year.
The Rose d'Or is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018.

Michael Settonni was an American on-air television news anchor and reporter who last worked for WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born in Middleburg Heights, Ohio in 1959. Settonni, a 1977 graduate of Midpark High School in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, graduated from Ohio State University in 1981 with a degree in journalism. He worked for NBC, CNN, The Walt Disney Company and network affiliated television stations in Boston, San Diego, Cleveland, OH, and Portland. Michael died unexpectedly on May 10, 2021.
Robert Kovacik is a multiple-award-winning American television journalist based in Los Angeles, California. He is currently an anchor/reporter for NBC (KNBC) Los Angeles and can be seen worldwide across all NBC platforms. In 2018, Kovacik won the Emmy for Outstanding Hard News Reporting. He was selected as Journalist of the Year at the 55th Southern California Journalism Awards in 2013. According to the judges, "Robert Kovacik has not only won the trust and respect of his audience, but he has won their hearts with solid reporting and integrity."
The Golden Bell Awards is an annual Taiwanese television and radio production award presented in October or November each year by the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development, a division of Taiwan's Ministry of Culture. It is the first radio and television production award in Chinese circulation, founded in 1965, and Taiwan's equivalent to the Emmy Awards. It is also one of the three major annual entertainment and cultural awards presented in Taiwan, along with the Golden Melody Awards for music and the Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards for films. The awards were presented by the Government Information Office until 2011.

Frank Mottek is an American broadcast journalist known as “The Voice of Business News in Los Angeles” for his business reports on radio and television stations in Los Angeles, and hosting business news shows including "Mottek On Money." His broadcasts and podcasts have provided business, consumer and financial news to millions in the Greater Los Angeles area. Mottek also serves as moderator and master of ceremonies at business events and conferences. He is also known for his reporting and anchoring on TV stations KCAL-TV, KCBS-TV and KTLA in Los Angeles as well as the Nightly Business Report on PBS.
Greg Rowe Barron is an American radio and television journalist, producer and communications executive. His early radio feature work influenced public radio storytelling in the United States and how sound is used in documentary production. Described by Variety in 1981 as "one of the most renowned creators of radio documentaries in the nation", his work as a producer for Minnesota Public Radio between 1972 and 1980 was recognized by numerous regional and national journalism awards and he was an early advocate of the use of high fidelity stereophonic sound as an integral element of radio journalism.

Rick Garcia is a news anchor most recently of CBS News Los Angeles. He worked for 22 years at KTTV-TV and KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, California and was the host of KTTV's NFL post-game show “Fox Overtime,” and KTTV's Major League Baseball post-game show, “Extra Inning.” Garcia joined KCAL-TV and KCBS-TV as a news anchor in 2009. While he was the co-anchor of KCAL news, the station became the most-watched prime-time newscast in Southern California during the 2010–11 season.
