Gonbad-e Sorkh (Persian : گنبدسرخ‎; also known as Gonbad-e Sorkhī and Gonbad Sorkhī)^[1] is a village in Shamil Rural District, Takht District, Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 46, in 14 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Shamil Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Takht District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 22,280, in 4,949 families. The rural district has 55 villages.

Takht District is a district (bakhsh) in Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 28,842, in 6,473 families. The District has one city Takht. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Shamil Rural District and Takht Rural District.
