The Greater Indianapolis Conference is an IHSAA-sanctioned conference formed in 2018. The conference consists of charter schools in Indianapolis, including two that were formerly in the Indianapolis Public Schools system. [1] The conference also sponsors football, as Lighthouse-East began football, joining Howe and Manual. [2] The conference faced drastic changes in its second year, as Lighthouse-East was closed down, leaving the GIC with five members. [3] The league responded by adding three charter schools and two public schools, including another IPS school. [4]

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School (BJPS) is a private college-preparatory school founded by the Jesuits and located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. It is a part of the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus and geographically located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. However, the school is not operated by the archdiocese of Indianapolis.
Bishop Chatard High School is a Catholic co-educational preparatory high school located in the Broad Ripple district of Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States. It is named after Bishop Silas Chatard, who was the first Bishop of Indianapolis, and oversaw the movement of the diocese from Vincennes to Indianapolis in 1898.
Cathedral High School is a private Catholic high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school serves approximately 1,200 students in grades 9 to 12. The school was founded in Archdiocese of Indianapolis by Bishop Joseph Chartrand in 1918 and was run by the Brothers of Holy Cross until it became independent by the late 1970s. Holy Cross returned to the school in 2011.

The Indianapolis Public Schools Athletic Conference was an athletic conference consisting of high schools in the Indianapolis Public Schools district. The demise of the conference came in 2018, as four of the seven remaining schools closed in a span of two years, leaving only three schools left, one of which (Howe) is a charter school, and another (Manual) under state control. Instead, those two schools joined the Greater Indianapolis Conference, leaving George Washington as an independent.
The Greater South Shore Conference is an eight-member Indiana High School Athletic Association athletic conference spanning Lake and Porter counties in Northwest Indiana. Two other members, Boone Grove and Gary West Side, participate only in football, with Boone Grove otherwise participating in the Porter County Conference and Gary West Side otherwise participating in the Great Lakes Athletic Conference.

The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival is a non-profit event founded in 1947 by the Historic Irvington Community Council in an effort to bring together residents, neighborhood organizations, and businesses in the Irvington Historic District of Indianapolis, Indiana for a celebration of heritage and community. The festival is currently the nation's second oldest and largest Halloween festival.

The Circle City Conference or CCC is a high school athletic conference in the central district of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) consisting of 6 private schools; four Catholic schools and two nondenominational Christian schools in Greater Indianapolis. It began competition at the beginning of the 2016–2017 school year following a crackdown by the IHSAA on the multiple private schools that were playing numerous schedules with teams outside of Indiana. The first sporting event in the conference was a boy's varsity tennis match between Brebeuf Jesuit and Guerin Catholic that took place on August 18, 2016. The Golden Eagles defeated the Braves 4–1. As of August 2015, Greg VanSlambrook is the president of the conference. Combined, the six schools have accounted for 74 IHSAA state championships, all but 7 of which occurred while they were "Independents".
The Southern Roads Conference is an Indiana-based conference containing IHSAA and non-IHSAA public, charter, and religious schools. This league was founded in 2018, as longtime independents Cannelton and Medora wanted to form a conference that would include the isolated small schools.
