Hadley and Leegomery, formerly just Hadley is a civil parish in Telford and Wrekin unitary authority area, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. [1] It includes the villages of Hadley, Leegomery and Horton, all of which were mentioned in the Domesday Book , although the parish is now part of modern Telford. [2] In 2021 the parish had a population of 16,188. [3] The parish was renamed from "Hadley" to "Hadley and Leegomery" on 11 February 2003. [4]

Apley Castle, in the parish, was built in the 13th century and remodelled in the late 15th or early 16th century. It was then incorporated into the stable block of an 18th -century house, which has since been demolished. The remaining stable block is Grade II* listed. [5] As of 2024 there are 9 other listed buildings in the parish, all at grade II.

Hadley and Leegomery is a civil parish in the district of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. It contains ten listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England. Of these, one is at Grade II*, the middle of the three grades, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. Hadley and Leegomery are areas in the town of Telford. The most important building in the parish was Apley Castle, but this has been largely demolished and redeveloped, and what remains of it is listed at Grade II*. Other structures associated with the building are listed, and the other listed buildings in the parish include two former mills, an 18th-century house, two locks and a bridge associated with the now disused Shrewsbury Canal, a public house, and a war memorial.

Beveley is a former hamlet straddling the boundaries of Ketley and Oakengates in the Telford and Wrekin borough in Shropshire, England. It is located to the northeast of Ketley and close to Hadley Manor and Red Lake. Nearby places include the towns of Oakengates, Telford and Wellington. and the villages and areas of Hadley and Wombridge. The area is predominantly residential and close to the Wolverhampton–Shrewsbury line and woodlands. Part of the former Roman road Watling Street passes through the centre of Beveley. Although, this is now mostly bypassed by the nearby M54 motorway between Wellington and Shrewsbury.
