Hellfjord is a Norwegian comedy television series. It consists of seven 30 minute episodes and premiered on NRK1 9 October 2012. The series was produced by Tommy Wirkola of Tappeluft Pictures for NRK.
Salmander is a police officer from Oslo who, after mistakenly killing his police horse in front of a large group of children, is banished to the Northern Norwegian village of Hellfjord. In beautiful but mysterious Hellfjord he is welcomed by the vulgar and eccentric sheriff, and meets the dim-witted journalist Johanne who suspects that something lies beneath the surface in the village. [1] [2] Salmander has to contend with murders and the local sea monster.
The series is written and produced by Tommy Sten, Zahid Ali and Stig Frode Henriksen and was recorded in Gryllefjord on the island of Senja, and Film Camp in Øverbygd summer 2011. The series was sold abroad even before it was recorded. [3] [4] [5] The recording received EU support through the MEDIA Programme with a grant of 2,100,000 kr. [6] [7]

Moxnes opposes the European Union, characterizing Norway's participation in the EEA as undemocratic. Moxnes describes himself as a socialist. He served as the leader of the Red Party from 2012 to 2023, when he resigned in the wake of stealing a pair of sunglasses from a shop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. It was directed by Syversen and Cecilie A. Mosli. The main protagonist, Jonas Schulman is a former criminal who had started a new life and new identity in the fictional small town of Slusvik. Andrea Bræin Hovig portrays his wife, Elin and Ylva Fuglerud acts as his stepdaughter, Sofie. When a friend confronts Jonas about his secret past, he suspects blackmail, kills the friend and struggles to maintain his "normal life" façade. The series was mainly filmed in Fetsund, Ørje and Aurskog.
