Hesar (Persian : حصار‎, also Romanized as Ḩeşār; also known as Ḩeẕār)^[1] is a village in Holayjan Rural District, in the Central District of Izeh County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 62, in 11 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Holayjan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Izeh County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,435, in 1,362 families. The rural district has 56 villages.
