Hey Kandi... is the debut solo studio album by American singer Kandi Burruss, released by Columbia Records on September 19, 2000 (see 2000 in music) in North America.
Co-produced by Kandi and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, It debuted at number 72 on the US Billboard 200 and number 32 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. It spawned two singles with "Don't Think I'm Not" and "Cheatin' on Me".
As of September 2009, 260,000 units of the album have been sold in the United States and 325,000 units of the album worldwide.
After Xscape disbanded in 1998, Burruss broke away from singing for a while and focused on writing songs for other artists. In March 2000, Burruss was signed to Columbia Records, she began working on her debut album the same month with producer Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs. After she finished the album in July, she released her first single "Don't Think I'm Not" the same month.

FanMail is the third studio album by American girl group TLC, released on February 23, 1999, by LaFace and Arista Records. The album title is a tribute to TLC's fans who sent them fan mail during their hiatus. FanMail debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 318,000 copies in its first week of release, and spent five weeks at number one.
Kandi Burruss, known professionally by her mononym Kandi, is an American actress, businesswoman, dancer, producer, singer, songwriter, and television personality. She first gained notice in 1992 as a member of the multi-platinum R&B female vocal group Xscape. As a songwriter, she has received writing credits on the singles "Bills, Bills, Bills" by Destiny's Child, "There You Go" by Pink, "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" by Ariana Grande, and "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran. In 2000, she won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for her work on the TLC hit song "No Scrubs".
"Pop Ya Collar" is a single by American recording artist Usher, released to US radio on October 17, 2000. It was written by himself, Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, and Kandi Burruss. The song was produced for his cancelled third studio album All About U. The project was abandoned following the leak of the song and several other tracks onto online music store Napster, several months prior to its release of October 31, 2000. The song was instead later included on non-US editions of his official third studio album, 8701.

It was released on April 4, 2000, through LaFace Records, two years after disbanding of the girl group Choice, where Pink served as a soloist. Xscape is an American girl group from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1990 by Kandi Burruss, Tamera Coggins, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott. The following year, Coggins left the group and Xscape became a quartet. They were discovered by Jermaine Dupri who signed the group to his So So Def label. The group released their debut album Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha in 1993, which spawned two top-ten Billboard Hot 100 hits, "Just Kickin' It" and "Understanding". The album sold over one million copies in the United States, earning a platinum-certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Chuckey Charles is an American award nominated film composer, songwriter and record producer. He moves from pop to rap to R&B, and has produced, written and worked with Grammy Award winning songwriters, artist, and producers from Sean Garrett, Usher Raymond and Dallas Austin to writer/producer Jerry Ragavoy. He has also produced Kindred the Family Soul, Vega, Loon and Montell Jordan among others. He first became interested in music at a young age, where he started playing the guitar at the age of six and gradually moving on to the piano at the age of nine. Throughout his elementary and high school years he attended Rockford, Illinois, C.A.P.A. school for the creative and performing arts. He continued his musical interest where he became the composer of many musical compositions scored along with his orchestra instructor. After graduating from high school and attending a brief stint in college majoring in music theory, Chuckey Charles started to focus on larger aspirations of the music business and industry.
