Highland is a city in Sharp County, Arkansas, United States. The city was incorporated in 1998 and is located in Sharp County. It is the fourth largest city in Sharp County with a population of 1,015 in 2021

As of the census [7] of 2000, there were 986 people, 403 households, and 309 families residing in the city. The population density was 112.8 inhabitants per square mile (43.6/km2). There were 501 housing units at an average density of 57.3 per square mile (22.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.07% White, 0.41% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.10% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. 1.42% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 403 households, out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.3% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.1% were non-families. 20.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.78.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 24.3% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 25.7% from 45 to 64, and 20.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
