The India cricket team is scheduled to tour England from June to August 2025 to play the England cricket team. [1] The tour will consist of five Test matches. The England men's cricket team represents England and Wales in international cricket. Since 1997, it has been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by Marylebone Cricket Club since 1903. England, as a founding nation, is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. Until the 1990s, Scottish and Irish players also played for England as those countries were not yet ICC members in their own right.
The 2020–23 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League was the first edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, a One Day International (ODI) league. The league took place from July 2020 to May 2023, and served as part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process.
The 2020 international cricket season took place from May to September 2020. 15 Test matches, 49 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 40 Twenty20 International (T20Is) were scheduled to be played during this period, as well as 8 Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and 9 Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). Additionally, a number of other T20I/WT20I matches were also scheduled to be played in minor series involving associate nations. The season started with Australia leading the Test cricket rankings, England leading the ODI rankings and Australia leading the Twenty20 rankings.
The 2021–22 international cricket season took place from September 2021 to April 2022. 29 Tests, 111 One Day Internationals (ODIs), 112 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), 25 Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), 40 Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), and two women's Test matches were scheduled to be played during this period. Additionally, a number of other T20I/WT20I matches were also scheduled to be played in series involving associate nations.
The India women's cricket team toured England to play the England women's cricket team in June and July 2021. On International Women's Day 2021, Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), stated that the India team would play a one-off Women's Test match against the England team. India women last played a Test match in November 2014, against South Africa. In April 2021, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, including the one-off Test match, three Women's One Day International (WODI) and three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches.
The India cricket team toured England in July 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the England cricket team. In September 2021, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that India would also play a one-off Test match, after the fifth Test in 2021 was cancelled. The following month, the ECB confirmed that the rescheduled match would determine the outcome of last summer's Test series, and was played ahead of the T20I series.

The 2022–2025 ICC Women's Championship is the third edition of the ICC Women's Championship, a One Day International (ODI) cricket competition that is being contested by ten teams, to determine qualification for the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup. The top five teams, along with the hosts India, will qualify directly for the World Cup. The bottom four teams of this tournament and the top two teams from the ICC ODI rankings will progress to a Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. Each team will play a total of eight three-match series, with four of them played at home, and four played away.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured England in August and September 2024 to play three Test matches against the England cricket team. The Test series formed part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. In July 2023, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the fixtures, as a part of the 2024 home schedule.
The Zimbabwe cricket team are scheduled to tour England in May 2025 to play the England cricket team. The tour will consist of a four-day Test match. It is due to be the first Test match between the two teams since 2003, and only the second four-day Test match played by Zimbabwe. The tour will also mark the first bilateral series between the two sides in any format since 2004. In August 2023, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the schedule for the Test match. The venue was confirmed as Trent Bridge on 22 August 2024.
The New Zealand cricket team are scheduled to tour India in October and November 2024 to play the India cricket team. The tour will consist of three Test matches. The Test series will form part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. The Bangladesh cricket team are touring India in September and October 2024 to play against the India cricket team. The tour consists of two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series forms part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. In June 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, as a part of the 2024–25 home international season.
The England women's cricket team are scheduled to tour Australia in January and February 2025 to play the Australia women's cricket team in The Women's Ashes. The tour will consist of one Women's Test match, three Women's One Day International (WODI) and three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. In March 2024, the Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed the fixtures for the series, as a part of Australia's 2024–25 home international season.
The England cricket team are scheduled to tour India in January and February 2025 to play the India cricket team. The tour will consist of three One Day International (ODI) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. In June 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the fixtures for the tour, as a part of the 2024–25 home international season.
