It is one of the largest transit providers in the state of Tennessee; MATA transports customers in the City of Memphis and parts of Shelby County on fixed-route buses, paratransit vehicles, demand-responsive service, and the MATA Trolley system. The system is managed by a seven-member policy board appointed by the mayor and approved by the Memphis City Council. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 3,122,700.

Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc. is a quasi-governmental agency responsible for the management and operation of the Milwaukee County Transit System. Its bus fleet consists of 360 buses. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 17,507,900, or about 53,100 per weekday as of the first quarter of 2024.

It is the most recent incarnation of the South Bend Railway Company, a street railway company that was founded on May 25, 1885. Transpo receives funding from local, state and federal taxes. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 1,262,400, or about 5,000 per weekday as of the first quarter of 2024.

Primarily, it provides inter-regional transportation, connecting outlying regions with the city of Bakersfield. It also provides inter-city transportation within specific regions. Kern (Regional) Transit is operated by the Kern County Department of Roads. The agency was founded in 1981. Its headquarters are located in Bakersfield.
Cedar Rapids Transit, stylized as CR Transit, is the primary provider of mass transportation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Prior to 2008, the Cedar Rapids public transportation system was known as Environmental Alternative for a Greater Lifestyle (EAGL) from 1993 to 2008, and Easyrider prior to 1993. Twelve routes serve the city, with most radiating from the Ground Transportation Center in downtown Cedar Rapids, as well as two circulator routes. In addition to providing transit service, Cedar Rapids Transit also provides ADA Paratransit service to passengers with qualifying disabilities. The system runs Monday through Saturday. There is no service on Sundays, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
The Decatur Public Transit System is the primary provider of mass transportation in Macon County, Illinois. Fourteen main routes, plus one downtown shuttle using replica trolleys, serve the region.
Sioux City Transit, is the primary provider of mass transportation in Woodbury County, Iowa. Ten routes operate from Monday through Saturday. Via Route 9, a connection can also be made with the suburb of South Sioux City, Nebraska across the Missouri River. However, beginning January 3, 2009, Route 9 only operates Monday-Friday.
Cheyenne Transit Program is the primary provider of mass transportation in Laramie County, Wyoming. Four routes are provided by the agency from Monday through Saturday. In 2009, the city began a comprehensive process to increase ridership by adding bus stops and building shelters.
Coralville Transit is an American public transit system serving Coralville, Iowa, as well as providing service into downtown Iowa City via the University of Iowa campus. In addition, a one-way route to and from North Liberty runs twice a day on weekdays during the morning and evening rush hours. The service provides several routes connecting downtown Iowa City with various destinations in Coralville, such as Coral Ridge Mall, Iowa River Landing, and Commerce Drive. It is one of four transit systems in the Iowa City area, the other three being Iowa City Transit, the University of Iowa Cambus, and the 380 Express commuter bus. Coralville Transit shares several stops with these systems.
Rapid is a bus rapid transit system operating in the metropolitan area of San Diego. It is part of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). The system serves nearly half the county, operating mainly on the HOV lanes on Interstates 15 and 805, with most of the stops also served by other routes. In addition, there are stations, dubbed as CenterLine in the medians of Interstate 15, Park Boulevard in San Diego and on East Palomar Street in Chula Vista, that are designed in a similar manner to the light rail stations. The system operates with a dedicated fleet, although buses from the Mainline fleet are regularly substituted. The system is administered, built and managed by San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and is operated as part of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS).
Green Mountain Transit (GMT) is the regional public transit system based in Burlington, Vermont, which was formed in 2016 through the merger of two more localized transit systems: the Chittenden County Transportation Authority and the Green Mountain Transit Authority.
