Johor Corporation (JCorp) or Perbadanan Johor is a Malaysian government-linked company, formerly known as the "Johor State Economic Development Corporation" (JSEDC). Formed in 1968, it is part of the government's affirmative action programs to restructure its multi-ethnic society by eradicating the economic imbalance between the Malays and the non-Malays. Malaysian "state economic development corporations" were designed to break away from the bureaucratic binds of a regular government department and to become a commercially oriented investment arm of the respective state governments.
Iskandar Puteri is a city which functions as the administrative capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia and represents the seat of government of the state of Johor. East Coast Economic Region(ECER) is an economic development region based on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, which covers the states of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang, and the Johorean districts of Mersing and Segamat. The Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) was a proposed railway project to link Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Singapore via a high-speed rail line. It was first proposed by then Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak in September 2010. Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong formally agreed to the joint project in February 2013, with the HSR originally expected to be completed by 2026.

Forest City is an integrated residential development and private town located on the slopes of Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia on 1,370 hectares. Announced in 2006 as a twenty-year project, the project was pitched under China's Belt and Road Initiative. It was opened by then Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak in 2016, with the approval of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail. Forest City in Johor is in partnership with Esplanade Danga 88, an affiliate of the Johor People's Infrastructure Group (KPRJ), through a joint venture, Country Garden Holding Ltd (CGPV), with CGPV holding 60 percent of shares, while KPRJ holds the other 40 percent. Forest City is under the management of the Iskandar Puteri City Council and the Iskandar Regional Development Authority.
