J is the debut studio album by South Korean singer Jaehyun. It was released on August 26, 2024, by SM Entertainment through Kakao Entertainment, and contained eight tracks. The album marked Jaehyun as the fourth NCT member to make an official solo debut.
On August 8, 2024, SM Entertainment announced the solo debut of Jaehyun through a video trailer titled "The Smoky Night", where it would have consists of eight tracks along with the Korean and English versions of the title track "Smoke". [2] On the same day, the album was available for pre-order at various online and offline music stores and also announced that two singles "Roses" and "Dandelion" would be pre-released on August 12, ahead of his debut. [3] [4] The next day, SM posted the scheduler of the album and revealed various teasing contents such as the music videos of the tracks, teaser images, and concept films. [5]
J was released worldwide on August 26, 2024, by SM and Kakao. [6]
Ahead of Jaehyun's debut, he sang the pre-release single "Dandelion" at the 2024 Seoul Jazz Festival with Lauv. [4] On August 19, 2024, Jaehyun announced that he would be holding a listening party titled "Jaehyun Vol.1" to commemorate the release of his first solo album on the day of his solo debut and it would be divided into five parts starting from 12:00 to 18:00 (KST). In addition, it featured three flavors of drinks that Jaehyun created to match the album concept and the contents of the preparation for the listening party would be released on August 22, through NCT's YouTube channel. SM Entertainment (Korean: SM엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean entertainment company established in 1995 by Lee Soo-man. It is currently one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. The company operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house.
NCT is a South Korean boy band formed and managed by SM Entertainment. Introduced in January 2016, the group consists of 25 members divided into six different sub-units: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT DoJaeJung, and NCT Wish. They are known for their versatility in music, vocal and rap abilities, and powerful performances, and have been cited as K-pop's "most experimental boy band" due to their concept of having limitless members. As of June 2024, NCT has recorded more than 40 million album sales in Korea across all sub-units, making them the best-selling act under SM Entertainment and one of the best-selling K-pop artists of all time.
Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, known professionally as Ten, is a Thai singer, dancer, and rapper based in South Korea and China. He debuted with South Korean boy band NCT in 2016 as part of its first sub-unit, NCT U. Since 2019, he has been active mainly as a member of NCT's China-based unit WayV and the South Korean supergroup SuperM. Ten has also released several solo singles through the SM Station project: "Dream in a Dream" (2017), "New Heroes" (2018), "Paint Me Naked" (2021), and "Birthday" (2022). He made his solo debut in February 2024 with his eponymous extended play.
Lee Tae-yong, known mononymously as Taeyong, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is a member and leader of South Korean boy band NCT under SM Entertainment, having debuted in the group's first sub-unit, NCT U, in 2016 and becoming the leader of its second sub-unit, NCT 127, later that year. In 2019, he debuted as a member of the South Korean supergroup SuperM, a joint project under SM Entertainment and Capitol Records. As a songwriter, Taeyong has participated in writing over 40 songs in four languages, released mostly by NCT's various units and himself as a soloist. He made his official solo debut in June 2023 with his EP Shalala, making him the first soloist from NCT.
Self-Portrait is the debut extended play by South Korean singer-songwriter Suho. It was released on March 30, 2020, by SM Entertainment. The physical edition was released in two versions, Archive #1 and Archive #2, while the digital version shares the cover of the latter, a collage of four impressionist paintings of Suho's face. The EP features six tracks including the lead single, "Let's Love".

NCT 2020 Resonance is the second studio album by South Korean boy band NCT, an unlimited group project under the management of SM Entertainment. Similar to their previous release NCT 2018 Empathy, NCT 2020 Resonance is part of the "NCT 2020" project; which saw all current NCT members from several units collaborating on a full-length release. This time, the album features all 23 members from three current units of NCT; NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV, while introducing two new NCT members, namely Shotaro and Sungchan. It would also be the final NCT album to feature Lucas due to his hiatus and eventual departure in 2023. The first part was released on October 12, 2020, and the second part was then released on November 23, 2020.
Hello is the debut extended play by South Korean singer Joy. It was released on May 31, 2021, through SM Entertainment, marketed as a special release. The EP consists of six new remakes of songs from the 1990s and 2000s, including the title song "Hello" and pre-released single "Je T'aime". In addition, a number of top musicians participated in the album such as Kenzie, Hwang Seong-jae, Hwang Hyeon, MinGtion, Park Moon-chi, and Lundi Blues.
Moon Tae-il, known mononymously as Taeil, is a South Korean singer. He is a former member of the South Korean boy band NCT and its sub-units NCT U and NCT 127, managed by the label SM Entertainment. Taeil made his debut in April 2016 in the rotational unit NCT U and became a member of the Seoul-based unit NCT 127 in July 2016. He departed from NCT on August 28, 2024, following allegations of sexual offenses, later revealed to be quasi-rape.

Inspired by the time Jaehyun spent in Milan, the lyrics express one's yearning for the person they love. Candy is the fifth extended play (EP) by South Korean boy band NCT Dream. It was released digitally on December 16, 2022, and physically on December 19, 2022, by SM Entertainment through Dreamus. Marketed as a special winter mini-album, the EP consists of six Christmas-themed tracks, including its lead single of the same name, originally released by H.O.T. in 1996.

The song was written by Jaehyun, who co-composed it with Deez and Soulfish. Ten is the debut extended play (EP) by Thai singer Ten. It was released on February 13, 2024, by SM Entertainment and distributed by Kakao Entertainment. The six track EP, recorded entirely in English, explores several different genres, including pop-punk, Latin pop, dance-pop, contemporary R&B, and hip-hop. The project was supported by the lead single "Nightwalker", and promoted with a concert tour of East and Southeast Asia. The EP was commercially successful, reaching the top 5 of charts in South Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
