The Sri Lankan cricket team toured Australia from 6 December 2012 to 28 January 2013. The tour consisted of three Tests,five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Tests were played for the Warne–Muralidaran Trophy. The Test series was preceded by a match against the Cricket Australia Chairman's XI and Sri Lankans.

Travis Michael Head is an Australian international cricketer. Head was a key member of the Australian team that won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final,as he was the Player of the Match with his innings of 163 runs. In the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final,Head led Australia to victory over India with an impressive 137 off 120 balls. He also became the second player ever to score a century when batting second in a World Cup final. He also became the first player to score centuries in 2 ICC tournament finals in a same calendar year.
Scott Michael Boland is an Australian international cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler,he also plays domestically for Victoria and the Melbourne Stars. In March 2019,he was named the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year by Cricket Australia. Boland is one of a handful of Indigenous Australians to be selected to play for Australia at international level and,as of December 2021,is only the second male Aboriginal player to have played Test cricket for Australia,after Jason Gillespie. He was a member of the Australian team that won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final.
The Pakistani cricket team toured Australia in December 2016 to play three Test matches and five One Day Internationals (ODIs). The 1st Test at The Gabba in Brisbane was a day/night match played with a pink ball. In preparation for the first Test,ten matches in Pakistan's 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the first round of matches in Australia's 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season were played as day/night matches. Ahead of the Test matches,Pakistan also played a first-class match against Cricket Australia XI.
Cameron Donald Green is an Australian cricketer who plays for Australia,Western Australia and Perth Scorchers as a batting all-rounder. He made his international debut for the Australian national cricket team in December 2020. Green was a member of the Australian team that won the 2023 Cricket World Cup and the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final.
