John E. Beake (born December 20, 1938) is a retired American football executive who served as general manager of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League from 1985 to 1998.
Beake graduated from Long Branch High School in 1957 and Trenton State College in 1961. [2] He then earned a master's degree from Penn State, where he served as a graduate assistant under Rip Engle. [3] He was the head basketball and assistant football coach at New York Military Academy from 1963 to 1964. He then spent four seasons as the head football coach at Nyack High School, where he compiled a 24–4–4 record and won three league champions. [3] In 1968 he was hired as an assistant coach by the Kansas City Chiefs. [4] In his seven seasons in Kansas City, the Chiefs won three division titles, one conference championship, and Super Bowl IV. After one season as the offensive coordinator at Colorado State, Beake rejoined his Chiefs' former boss, Hank Stram, in New Orleans. [3]
In 1979, Beake joined the Denver Broncos as director of pro personnel. [5] In 1981 he was promoted to director of player personnel. [6] In 1984 he was named assistant general manager. [7] Shortly thereafter, the Broncos were sold and general manager Hein Poulus resigned. [8] After going without a general manager for the 1984 season, the Broncos promoted Beake on February 18, 1985. [8] [9] Beake ran the administrative side of the Broncos, focusing on contract negotiations. [10] He was third in the team's power structure behind the owner and head coach. [11] During Beake's tenure as GM, the Broncos appeared in four Super Bowls and won one of them. [12] On March 3, 1999, Beake was reassigned to the position of vice president of administration and Neal Dahlen succeeded him as general manager. [13] He left the Broncos organization the following year to become the National Football League's vice president of player development and managing director of football operations for NFL Europe. [5] In 2002 he was promoted to vice president of football development and operations. [14] The NFL announced Beake's retirement on March 9, 2004. [15]
John Albert Elway Jr. is an American former professional football quarterback who spent his entire 16-year career with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Following his playing career, he then spent 11 years with the Broncos in various front office positions, eventually being promoted to general manager. Elway, along with former backup quarterback and head coach Gary Kubiak, are the only individuals to be associated with all three of the Broncos' Super Bowl wins.
John Fox is an American football coach and former player who previously was a senior defensive assistant for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He was the head coach of the Carolina Panthers (2002–2010), Denver Broncos (2011–2014) and Chicago Bears (2015–2017) of the National Football League (NFL). He coached the Panthers to Super Bowl XXXVIII and the Broncos to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Pioli served as the director – and later vice president – of player personnel for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008 when the franchise won three Super Bowl championships.
Joseph Philip Lombardi is an American football coach and former player who is the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers. Lombardi also previously served as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Falcons. He is the grandson of Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi.

Carl Mathew Theodore "Ted" Sundquist II is an American football player, manager and commentator. He spent sixteen years working in the National Football League for the Denver Broncos franchise. Sundquist was hired in 1992 as the player personnel assistant, and two years later promoted to director of college scouting. In 2001, Pat Bowlen promoted Sundquist to general manager.

Stephen Christopher Spagnuolo is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He rejoined Andy Reid in 2019 after being a defensive assistant with him from 1999 to 2006 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has coached four top-ten defenses as a defensive coordinator in terms of yardage. He has won four Super Bowls as defensive coordinator, one with the New York Giants and three with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him the only coordinator in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different franchises. Some historic defenses that Spagnuolo has coached throughout his career include the 2007 New York Giants defense and the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs defense.
Joel Dale Collier was an American professional football coach who was the head coach of the Buffalo Bills of the American Football League (AFL) from 1966 through part of 1968, compiling a 13–16–1 record. He later coached in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Northwestern Wildcats, earning first-team All-American honors in 1952 and 1953.

A general manager (GM) in American football is a team executive who is typically the head of football operations, which includes leading the scouting department and being responsible for handling free agent transactions and contract negotiations with players and coaches. Under such a model, the GM reports directly to the owner or team president. However, some team owners serve as their own GM or employ one who act in a supporting role to the head coach. Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders was an example of an owner who also served as GM, while Bill Belichick is an example of a head coach having de facto GM responsibilities during his tenure with the New England Patriots.

George Paton is an American football executive who is the general manager of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Paton previously served as the assistant general manager and vice president of player personnel for the Minnesota Vikings and served with the Vikings in various executive roles for 14 seasons. Paton began his NFL career as a scout for the Chicago Bears before serving as the director of pro personnel for the Miami Dolphins from 2001 to 2006 and joining the Vikings in 2007. Before his career as an executive, Paton played college football at UCLA and later professionally in the Austrian Football League and Italian Football League.
