Jossart Island is an island in Minocqua Lake, Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States.
Jossart Island was named by Belgian and Walloon immigrants to Wisconsin in the late 19th century. [2]
The shoreline of the island is 90 percent wooded, and a boathouse is located on the island. [3] Vegetation on the island and nearby waters includes rush, spatterdock, northern water-milfoil, white waterlily, muskgrass, and pondweed. [3] The island "offers a biological buffer zone where the establishment of existing vegetation reduces the likelihood of an exotic invasion." [3] The basin south of the island is a fish and wildlife habitat. [3]
