Juno Maria Petra Blom (born 8 October 1968) [1] is a Swedish politician for the Liberals who served as the party secretary from June 2019 to April 2022. [2] Blom became a member of the Liberals in 2017 and was elected as a member of the Riksdag after the 2018 Swedish general election,representing her home constituency Östergötland County,and campaigning that she would bring up policies and questions surrounding children's rights and the fight against honor violence. [3] For twelve years,she has advocated against honor violence and honor oppresition in the regional council for Östergötland county. [4]
She currently takes up seat number 149 in the Riksdag. Before becoming secretary of the Liberals,she was a member of the Education Committee from October 2018 until February 2019,when she left the committee to become a member of the Justice Committee,on which she remained until September 2019. After she left the Justice Committee,she became a member of the War Delegation. [5]
Blom was during her adolescent years a promising golf player among the Norrköping Golfclub. [6]
Blom was awarded the Pela och Fadime (Pela och Fadime-utmärkelsen) award in 2018 for her fight against honor violence and oppression. [7]

The incumbent minority government,consisting of the Social Democrats and the Greens and supported by the Left Party,won 144 seats,one seat more than the four-party Alliance coalition,with the Sweden Democrats winning the remaining 62 seats. The Social Democrats' vote share fell to 28.3 percent,its lowest level of support since 1911.

Paula Bieler is a Swedish former politician for the Sweden Democrats party. She became a member of the party in 2009. In November 2013 Bieler became an elected member of Sweden Democrats party council. In the 2014 Swedish general election,Bieler was the party's number six national candidate for the Riksdag,and was elected a member of the Riksdag. Since April 2014 Bieler has also been the party's official political spokesman on gender and gay rights. On 11 February 2020,Bieler revealed that she was leaving the Riksdag in an interview with the Swedish tabloid Expressen. Pela Atroshi was a 19-year-old Iraqi Kurd from Farsta,Sweden. She was murdered in an honor killing by family members after being taken from Sweden to Dohuk in Iraqi Kurdistan. She was deemed to have brought shame on the family by moving out of the family home and trying to achieve some independence.

The preliminary results presented on 15 September showed the government parties lost their majority,which were confirmed by the final results published on 17 September. After a month of negotiations following the elections that led to the TidöAgreement among the right-wing bloc,Moderate Party (M) leader Ulf Kristersson was elected Prime Minister of 17 October. Prime Minister Stefan Löfven tendered his resignation on 10 November 2021,leaving his government in place as a caretaker cabinet until a new Prime Minister is elected by the Riksdag. Government formation talks commenced the following day with Magdalena Andersson,the newly-elected head of the Social Democratic party offering to lead a government. She was formally nominated to form a government by the Speaker of the Riksdag,Andreas Norlén later the same day. It was the third government formation process since the 2018 general election,the first taking a record 144 days before the formation of Löfven's second cabinet. The process took place just ten months ahead of the 2022 general election.
Honor-related violence in Sweden first received public attention in Sweden due to the honor killings of Sara Abed Ali in 1996,Pela Atroshi in 1999 and Fadime Sahindal in 2002. Honor related violence includes forced marriage,female genital mutilation,and other forms of coercion. According to the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society in 2009,about 70 thousand women and men reported pressure to marry against their will. In 2019,the Swedish Police Authority started to specifically track honor-related crimes,and by November 2021,4500 suspected honor-related crimes had been reported.
