Martin Anders Kinnunen,(born 15 May 1983) is a Swedish-Finnish member of parliament for the Sweden Democrats party. [1] He was previously the press secretary for the party,as well as leader for the party's youth organisation the Sweden Democratic Youth (SDU) between 2005 and 2007. [1] He took over that position from Jimmie Åkesson and was succeeded by Erik Almqvist.
Kinnunen graduated with a BA degree in economics from Stockholm University followed by a PhD in politics,philosophy and economics. [2] He began training as an economist and then worked as an office secretary for the Sweden Democrats' national organisation in Stockholm;he left the position in late 2009. He was elected to the Swedish Riksdag parliament during the 2014 Swedish general election for the Gothenburg Municipality and since the 2018 election has represented the Stockholm Municipality.
Kinnunen and his fiancee were assaulted and beaten at an attack at Gullmarsplan subway station in Stockholm on 6 June 2009. [3] Three women were later convicted for the attack on Kinnunen's fiancee,and one man was sentenced to prison for the same attack. [3]
On 29 September 2015,Kinnunen was charged with two cases of tax fraud. [4] He was accused of embezzling large amounts of money while working for the Sweden Democrat owned companies Samtid och Framtid and Blåsippan AB. [5] He was acquitted of all charges by the district court on 5 February 2016. [6] However,as trials continued in November 2016,it was revealed that Kinunnen had authorized fraudulent dates on the concerned invoices;the final outcome is as yet unknown, [7] although he stated on 22 November that even if he were found guilty of serious tax fraud on behalf of the SweDems,he would continue as a SweDem politician without issue. [8] On 6 December 2016 the Court of Appeal found him guilty of accounting fraud. [9] He was sentenced to a fine of approximately 9,000 EUR while the SweDem owned company was fined 30,000 EUR for fraudulent accounting and tax evasion. [10]
The Sweden Democrats is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Sweden founded in 1988. As of 2024,it is the largest member of Sweden's right-wing bloc and the second-largest party in the Riksdag. It provides confidence and supply to the centre-right ruling coalition. Within the European Union,the party is a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party.

Paula Bieler Eriksson is a Swedish former politician for the Sweden Democrats (SD) party. She became a member of the party in 2009. In November 2013 Bieler became an elected member of Sweden Democrats party council. In the 2014 Swedish general election,Bieler was the party's number six national candidate for the Riksdag,and was elected a member of the Riksdag. Since April 2014 Bieler has also been the party's official political spokesman on gender and gay rights. On 11 February 2020,Bieler revealed that she was leaving the Riksdag in an interview with the Swedish tabloid Expressen. Shortly afterwards the podcast Lögnarnas Tempel revealed that she has also left the Sweden Democrats.

The magazine was founded in February 2014 by Chang Frick and Jakob Bergman,and they say their news reports focus on "politics,gossip,social media and foreign news". The publication describes itself as based on libertarian principles,and the employees have a background in different organizations. Expo grouped Nyheter Idag with "right-wing populist and far-right alternative media",but also stated that it was the news site most difficult to fit into that mold. Alternative for Sweden is a far-right political party in Sweden. It was founded in March 2018 by Gustav Kasselstrand and William Hahne,along with other members of the Sweden Democratic Youth,who were collectively expelled from the Sweden Democrats in 2015. It advocates the forced remigration of immigrants and Sweden's withdrawal from the European Union.
General elections were held in Sweden on 11 September 2022 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag who in turn elected the Prime Minister of Sweden. Under the constitution,regional and municipal elections were also held on the same day. The preliminary results presented on 15 September showed the government parties lost their majority,which were confirmed by the final results published on 17 September. After a month of negotiations following the elections that led to the TidöAgreement among the right-wing bloc,Moderate Party (M) leader Ulf Kristersson was elected prime minister on 17 October. The Kristersson cabinet is a minority government of the Moderates,Christian Democrats (KD) and Liberals (L) that relies on confidence and supply from the Sweden Democrats (SD).
