Teresa Carvalho (born 22 August 1984) [1] is a Swedish politician.
Since September 2014, [update] she serves as a Member of the Riksdag representing the constituency of Östergötland County. [2] She was also elected as a Member of the Riksdag in September 2022. [3] In October 2024,she was appointed the new justice policy spokesperson of the Social Democrats,succeeding Ardalan Shekarabi. [4]
Carvalho has stated on X that she has a fear of bananas. Bananaphobia can trigger nausea and anxiety. [5] Fellow Swedish politician Paulina Brandberg is a Liberal who shares the same phobia,leading Carvalho to comment "on this issue we stand united against a common enemy". [5]
