Justina Wamae is a Kenyan politician. Born and brought up in Kebra slum, Nairobi in the former Langata constituency. The youngest candidate picked for the country's second most powerful position by Roots Party presidential candidate, George Luchiri Wajackoyah during 2022 Kenya general election. Education and early career

Justina Wamae attended Guadalope nursery school before progressing to Kilimani Primary School in the former Westland's Division. Her secondary education was at Limuru Girls΄ School in the now Limuru constituency in Kiambu county. Daystar University where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Information Systems and minor in Purchasing and Logistics, a Master of Science in Procurement and Logistics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply UK. [5] She has championed to cannabis legalization in Kenya. [6]

Work

Prior to entering politics, she was worked briefly for the British Council as a Project Assistant. She subsequently worked as Head of Operations and Strategy at Datum Dredgers limited company that deals with civil constructions. She is married with one child. [7]

Political career

in 2013 Justina volunteered to be Chairlady WaremboNaUhuru [8] Machakos county chapter which was a lobby group aimed at amplifying the voice of young women in politics whilst popularizing the Jubilee party in Machakos county. In 2017 Kenya’s election she contested for the Mavoko constituency Member of national parliament but was shortchanged during the Jubilee party primaries and resolved in running as an independent candidate where she garnered 1,200 votes lost to Wiper's Patrick Makau, [9] her call to action then was Registration and regulation of informal school under APBET 2015, Industrial Revolution; Amplifying the voices of the youth among others. [10]

In 2022, she successfully interviewed to be running mate to the Roots Party presidential candidate. She was instrument in offering pragmatic solutions to Kenya’s unemployment challenge, assisted in packaging the contentious legalization and regulation of industrial hemp to spur up our economy, Amplified the impact of snake farming as an alternative income generating activity in addition to saving the 3 lives lost weekly due to snake bites. [11] Hang the corrupt, Suspending the constitution, shutting down the SGR, A four-day work week, Shifting Kenya's capital to Isiolo, Making Kenya a federal republic and creating 8 federate states, Deporting idle foreigners. [12] In August 2022 she fell out with the Roots Party Leader for supporting the other presidential candidate Raila Odinga despite the fact that they were competing for the same seat, she resigned from roots party.
