K13AV-D, VHF digital channel 13, is a low-power television station licensed to Gunnison, Colorado, United States. The station is owned by the Gunnison County Metropolitan Recreation District. [1]
In addition to its principal transmitter at Tenderfoot Mountain, Colorado, in order to broaden its signal coverage area, the station's programming is rebroadcast over a series of translators/satellites to provide over-the-air television service to other areas in and around the Gunnison area and surrounding communities in much of Gunnison and northern Saguache counties. The station's signal is multiplexed. One of its subchannels serves as a translator of Fox affiliate KDVR in Denver, using major channel 31.

Crested Butte is a home rule municipality located in Gunnison County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 1,639 at the 2020 United States Census. A former coal mining town nestled in the Slate River Valley, Crested Butte is now known as a destination for skiing, mountain biking, and outdoor activities.
Gunnison is a home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Gunnison County, Colorado. The city population was 6,560 at the 2020 United States Census. The city was named in honor of John W. Gunnison, a United States Army officer who surveyed for a transcontinental railroad in 1853. Gunnison is a college town, home to Western Colorado University, the oldest university in western Colorado.
Rocky Mountain PBS is a network of PBS member television stations serving the U.S. state of Colorado. Headquartered in Denver, it is operated by Rocky Mountain Public Media, Inc., a non-profit organization which holds the licenses for most of the PBS member stations licensed in the state, with the exception of KBDI-TV in Broomfield, which serves as the Denver market's secondary PBS station through the network's Program Differentiation Plan. Crystal is a ghost town on the upper Crystal River in Gunnison County, Colorado, United States. It is located in the Elk Mountains along a four-wheel-drive road 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Marble and 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Crested Butte. Crystal was a mining camp established in 1881 and after several decades of robust existence, was all but abandoned by 1917. The Crystal post office operated from July 28, 1882, until October 31, 1909. Many buildings still stand in Crystal, but its few residents live there only in the summer.

KBUT, is a National Public Radio-member station in Crested Butte, Colorado. It features an eclectic mix of locally produced music shows. The shows range from classical to jazz to rock to hip-hop. KBUT has been on air since December 1986 and has its studio in Crested Butte, with its main transmitter on Sunlight Ridge in Mt. Crested Butte and translators in Almont and Gunnison. It also streams its signal online and is available at www.kbut.org. In June 2010, the Sunlight Ridge transmitter began broadcasting in HD as well as analog. On April 15, 2012, KBUT-FM's parent, Crested Butte Mountain Educational Radio, Inc. was granted a U.S. Federal Communications Commission construction permit to increase ERP to 1,000 watts and decrease HAAT to -208 meters.
Crested Butte is a prominent mountain summit in the Elk Mountains range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 12,168-foot (3,709 m) peak is in Gunnison National Forest, 2.1 miles (3.4 km) northeast by east of the Town of Crested Butte in Gunnison County, Colorado, United States. Ski lifts and runs of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort occupy the north side of the mountain.
Channel 75, removed from television use in 1983, was formerly used by television stations in North America which broadcast on UHF frequencies 836-842 MHz. In the United States, channels 70-83 served primarily as a "translator band" containing repeater transmitters to fill gaps in coverage for existing stations. A handful remained in licensed operation in remote locations for years after the frequencies were lost to AMPS cellular telephony and the channels removed from tuners on new televisions, often running unattended and unmonitored.

The West Elk Loop Scenic and Historic Byway is a 205-mile (330 km) National Forest Scenic Byway and Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway located in Delta, Garfield, Gunnison, Montrose, and Pitkin counties Colorado, USA. The byway reaches its zenith at Kebler Pass, elevation 10,007 feet (3,050 m), between Crested Butte and Paonia.
