Kayao is a town in the Kayao Department of Bazèga Province in central Burkina Faso. Kayao has a population of 2,018 and is the capital of Kayao Department. [1]
Kayao is a department or commune of Bazèga Province in central Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Kayao. According to the 1996 census the department has a total population of 37,615.
Bazèga is one of the 45 provinces of Burkina Faso and is in Centre-Sud Region. The capital of Bazèga is Kombissiri. In 2006 the population of Bazèga was 238,202 and in 2011 it was estimated to be 263,603.
