Khaneh Dam (Persian : خانه دام‎, also Romanized as Khāneh Dām; also known as Khanadam, Khanasam, Khāndām, Khandam, Khānedām, and Khāneh Sām)^[1] is a village in Lakestan Rural District, in the Central District of Salmas County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. In the 2006 census, its population was 264, in 68 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Lakestan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Salmas County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 11,486, in 2,773 families. The rural district has 15 villages.
