Through the first decade of the 21st century, the economy of Zambia was one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa, and its capital, Lusaka, the fastest-growing city in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Brian Mumba Kasoka Bwembya known professionally as B Flow, is a Zambian musician, media personality, humanitarian, philanthropist, social justice advocate, and founder of Music For Change. He served as Chairperson of the HIV/AIDS and Social Commentary (HASC) committee of the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) from 2014 to 2017, before being elected to the position of Publicity Secretary in 2018. He is the global ambassador in the fight against HIV/AIDS for American organization AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and also the first Zambian artist in the world to launch an album at a US Embassy. The event was sponsored by the United States government through the embassy. The stage name B Flow was inspired by people who loved his 'flow'. B Flow also took a new direction with his music, changing his genre to what is now known as “KaliDanceHall”. In November 2016, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) named B Flow as one of the 16 voices of activism against gender-based violence around the world.
Kondwani Kaira, known professionally as Chef 187, is a Zambian hip hop musician, a former Infinix ambassador and former Proflight ambassador from the Copperbelt Province signed under Alpha Entertainments Music. A younger brother to Macky 2.
Clementina Mulenga Masengu, popularly known as Cleo Ice Queen, is a Zambian musician and television personality. To her music career, she has two successful albums and affiliations with international labels such as Def Jam Records, Cleo has earned numerous accolades, including the Best Female Rapper Southern Africa at the 2021 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) and Best Female Artiste Southern Africa at the 2022 All Africa Music Awards (Afrima).

Blaq Diamond is a South African Afro pop duo from Ladysmith KwaZulu-Natal. They met in 2010 on a school trip where both participated in a music cypher in the school bus. They signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, releasing their debut album Inqola (2017), which became their first iTunes number one.

Chanda Na Kay are a Zambian singing duo based on the Copperbelt. In July 2021, they won the Kwacha Music Award for the best Zambian duo. In December 2022, they won the best duo award at the 8th African Entertainment Annual Awards, becoming the first Zambians to do so. They have also won the Zambezi Music Awards. The Duo consists of “Apa ni Chanda”, born Edward Chanda, and “Apa ni Kay”, born Kelvin Simfukwe. They are signed under Nexus music.
Dan Lufani, best known as Dan Lu, and sometimes written as Dan Lufan, is a Malawian Afro-pop singer and songwriter. In 2011, he was awarded as best Afro pop artist of the year in Malawi Music Awards. In 2016, he was nominated in best R&B/Afro-pop Act along with other artists such as Theo Thomson and Kell Kay.
Zikomo Africa Awards are African awards established in early 2021 to celebrate organisations, entertainers and other minorities in music, film, philanthropy and fashion. The awards ceremony is usually hosted in the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka. They are one of the major Zambia's awards and they also promote culture as well as encourage people to showcase their talents. The awards categories are split into male and female. The awards also recognize humanitarians who are helping the needy in communities. The votes by the public and organisations are cast via their website in Zambia as well as across the African continent.
