KylieX2008 is the 2008 DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Kylie Minogue's tenth concert tour of the same name. The film features the entire concert (shot in Super 16 format [1] [2] ) along with a documentary, stage backdrop projections, conceptual designs, and a photo gallery. [3] [4] [5] Shot on 16mm film the Blu-ray release received comments regarding a grainy picture quality, due to 16mm not being suitable for HD TV. [6]

Kylie Ann Minogue,, often known simply as Kylie, is an Australian-British singer, songwriter and actress. She is the highest-selling female Australian artist of all time and has been recognised with several honorific nicknames, most notably the "Princess of Pop". Minogue has also been known for reinventing herself in music and fashion throughout her career, being referred to as a style icon.

X is the tenth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was released on 21 November 2007 by Parlophone. It is her first release since the greatest hits compilation Ultimate Kylie (2004), and her first studio album since Body Language (2003). Work on the album began following Minogue's gradual recovery from breast cancer and subsequent radiotherapy treatment. Her cancer, which was diagnosed in May 2005, resulted in the postponement of Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour midway through its run. Minogue resumed the tour in late 2006, in the midst of recording X, and was completed later in the following year. The album introduced new American and European producers including Bloodshy & Avant, Guy Chambers, Calvin Harris and Freemasons. The album and subsequent remix album, Boombox would be Minogue's last release to be distributed through Mushroom Records in Australia until Golden, over a decade later.

In early 2009, the singer met with British singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot to begin recording sessions for a new album. Subsequently, Minogue began working with British electronic music producer Stuart Price, who served as the executive producer of the album. The two collaborated with various producers and writers on the album, including Jake Shears, Calvin Harris, Sebastian Ingrosso and Pascal Gabriel. Aphrodite follows a musical approach largely similar to Minogue's previous albums and is primarily a dance-pop and disco-pop record. It draws influences from various dance-based genres including electropop, club and rave music.
