Laetesia distincta is a species of sheet weaver found in New Zealand. [1] It was described by Millidge in 1988. [1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 1988 by Alfred Frank Millidge from a female specimen. [2] The holotype is stored in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection under registration number NZAC03014978. [3]

Description

The female is recorded at 1.55–1.65 mm (0.061–0.065 in) in length. This species has a pale yellow carapace with grey margins laterally. The legs are pale yellow to white. The abdomen is black dorsally with a white chevron pattern. [2]

Distribution

This species is only known from the North Island of New Zealand.

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened". [4]
