Lagaz (Persian : لگز‎)^[1] is a village in Akhtachi-ye Sharqi Rural District, Simmineh District, Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 403, in 63 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Akhtachi-ye Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Simmineh District, Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,571, in 1,739 families. The rural district has 21 villages.

Simmineh District is a district (bakhsh) in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,401, in 4,788 families. The District has one city: Simmineh. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Akhtachi-ye Mahali Rural District, Akhtachi-ye Sharqi Rural District, and Behi Dehbokri Rural District.
