W:/2016Album/ is the eighth studio album by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. The album was released on December 2, 2016, through Deadmau5 's independent record label Mau5trap. The album's title, which was suggested by fans on Twitch, refers to a computer directory on Zimmerman's network-attached storage server used to store the master tracks of the songs on the album. The album features several tracks Zimmerman uploaded to his SoundCloud account, prior to it being compromised. W:/2016Album/ is also his first studio album to be released exclusively by Mau5trap. Two singles from the album have been released: "Snowcone" and "Let Go".

"4ware" is an instrumental by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. It is the first track on his eighth studio album, W:/2016ALBUM/. It was premiered on BBC Radio 1 in an interview with British DJ Pete Tong on November 4, 2016. Despite initial rumours, the song was never officially released as a single. Following the release of W:/2016ALBUM/, "4ware" charted in the US, peaking at 22 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart.

Where's the Drop? is an orchestral compilation album by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. The album comprises re-imagined orchestral arrangements of his previous work, in collaboration with Gregory Reveret. It was released through Mau5trap, initially exclusively on the music streaming service Tidal on March 30, 2018. The album was released on other digital download services and on vinyl on June 29, 2018. A remix album, containing remixes of the tracks by various other artists, entitled Here's the Drop!, was released on October 4, 2019.

"Monophobia" is a song by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5 featuring Australian singer Rob Swire. It was released on July 13, 2018, as the first track on Deadmau5's EP and compilation album Mau5ville: Level 1. Prior to its release on the EP, an orchestral rendition of the song was featured on Deadmau5's Where's the Drop?. On release, the song charted on the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart, peaking number 19. A music video for the song was released on Deadmau5's YouTube channel on July 16, 2018.

Matt Lange is an American DJ and producer based in Los Angeles. He is best known for co-producing "Goodbye" with DJ Glenn Morrison, together with soundtracks for movies including Blade Runner 2049 and Ready Player One. His use of modular synthesis and isorhythms in his musical productions have brought him notice. Lange produced progressive house and deep house early in his career, before moving into techno production from 2015 onwards. Lange found his own label, Isorhythm, in 2011 as a platform to release his own music. Graham Anthony Goodwin, known as Sian, is an Irish electronic dance music producer, DJ, visual artist, and record label owner. He founded Octopus Recordings label in 2008. He has released records on Diynamic, Cocoon Recordings, and Drumcode Records music labels, and produced remixes for Jan Blomqvist, Oliver Heldens, and Deadmau5, among others. Goodwin hosts a show on his label’s Octopus Radio, appears on BBC Northern Ireland radio, the Sirius XM BPM station, and has been featured on Apple Music.
