"Aural Psynapse" is an instrumental recording by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. [1] It was released on November 4, 2011 by Mau5trap and Ultra Records (US and Canada) and featured on his 2014 greatest hits album 5 Years of Mau5 .

Background

The original version of the track was recorded in 2001 and uploaded to SectionZ on June 17, 2002 under the alias Halcyon441 (Zimmerman's screen name at the time) [2] on the self-released compilation deadmau5 Circa 1998–2002 . [3]

Zimmerman previewed a remake in April 2011 through Ustream while it was a work in progress, noting it was originally "a track [he] made [...] ten years ago". The remake even uses a sample from the original 2001 release.

It was first played live in May 2011 during live in Malaysia and August 2011 during the Meowingtons Hax Tour.

Release

The track was released on November 4, 2011. [4] In December 2011, the song was featured in the tour Hard x Mouth Taped Shut. The song was also featured on the 2014 compilation album 5 years of mau5 .

W:/2016Album/ is the eighth studio album by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. The album was released on December 2, 2016, through Deadmau5 's independent record label Mau5trap. The album's title, which was suggested by fans on Twitch, refers to a computer directory on Zimmerman's network-attached storage server used to store the master tracks of the songs on the album. The album features several tracks Zimmerman uploaded to his SoundCloud account, prior to it being compromised. W:/2016Album/ is also his first studio album to be released exclusively by Mau5trap. Two singles from the album have been released: "Snowcone" and "Let Go".

"4ware" is an instrumental by Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5. It is the first track on his eighth studio album, W:/2016ALBUM/. It was premiered on BBC Radio 1 in an interview with British DJ Pete Tong on November 4, 2016. Despite initial rumours, the song was never officially released as a single. Following the release of W:/2016ALBUM/, "4ware" charted in the US, peaking at 22 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart.
