Lifeline is an album by Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals. It was recorded in Paris in the fall of 2006 after the lengthy European leg of the Both Sides of the Gun tour. Harper and the Innocent Criminals wrote the tracks while on tour and would rehearse the songs during sound checks while at each venue. Recorded in only seven days on analog, the album was released on August 28, 2007. [8] [9] It is Harper's eighth album.

Lifeline debuted at number 9 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling about 41,000 copies in its first week. [10] As of November 2008, the album has sold 173,000 copies in United States. [11]

Thom Jurek at AllMusic described the album as "...a deeply focused, loose, and laid-back record that is musically compelling and deeply soulful, and contains some of Harper's finest songs to date". [1]

Panicci toured with Harper on the Diamonds on the Inside Tour for almost a year. After leaving Harper's band on his own accord, Marc Ford, formerly of The Black Crowes replaced Panicci and joined Harper's band.

The second disc ("Black") is made up of the more rock and upbeat material and touching on genres such as hard rock, funk and gospel.

Our Bright Future is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman. It was released on November 11, 2008. The album was co-produced by Larry Klein. The album's first single "Sing For You" was released digitally on October 31. In promotion for this album, Chapman appeared on radio stations across Europe with interviews and sessions.
