Liolaemus montanezi is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae. The species is endemic to Argentina. ^[2]

Etymology

The specific name, montanezi, is in honor of Alvaro Montañez of Parque Nacional San Guillermo , Argentina. ^{[3] : 182}

Geographic distribution

Liolaemus montanezi is found in western Argentina, in San Juan Province. ^{[1] [2]}

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of Liolaemus montanezi is shrubland, at elevations around 2,300 m (7,500 ft). ^[1]
