Kootanae House, also spelled Kootenae House, was a North West Company fur trading post built by Jaco Finlay under the direction of David Thompson near present-day Invermere, British Columbia in 1807. It was abandoned in 1812. In 1808 Thompson reckoned its location as 50°32′12″N 115°56′15″W. The actual location is Kootenae House National Historic Site, located at 50.526624°N 116.045440°W.

The lake's name and that of the surrounding Shuswap Country is from the Shuswap people (Secwepemc), the most northern of the Salishan speaking people.

Powerview-Pine Falls is a town in the Canadian province of Manitoba, with a population of 1,314 at the 2011 census, up 1.54% from 1,294 at the 2006 census and down 7.57% from 1,400 during the 2001 census. The town is an amalgamation of the previous town of Powerview 50°33′58″N 96°11′53″W with the previously unincorporated area of Pine Falls 50°33′59″N 96°13′03″W, to its west. The town borders the Rural Municipality of Alexander and the Sagkeeng First Nation Indian reserve. The town was created as a paper mill town in the mid 1920s as Manitoba Pulp and Paper Company. The company was sold to Abitibi Paper Company and became Pine Falls Paper Group in 1995 after employee buyout and finally sold to Tembec in 1998. In 2009, the Tembec shutdown the mill for good and the site demolished by 2012 but mill's footprint next to Slasher Bay is still visible.
The River Inny is a small river in east Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is a tributary of the River Tamar and is about twenty miles (32 km) long from its source near Davidstow on the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor to its confluence with the Tamar at Inny Foot near Dunterton.

Dwight Foster Public Library is a public library located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, in the United States. Established in 1892, the library serves the 12,441 Fort Atkinson residents, as well as residents from surrounding communities. The total service population was 21,829 in 2016. The library serves as the resource library for Jefferson County and is a member of the Bridges Library System and is in the Cafe consortium, which shares materials with 24 other public libraries in Jefferson and Waukesha counties in Southeastern Wisconsin.
