[3] Lissandro was discovered by Marina D'Amico, and his parents enrolled him in D'Amico's singing school. [4] [5]

Junior Eurovision

On 28 October 2022, France Télévisions announced Lissandro would represent France at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a song titled "Oh Maman !". [13] On the same day, the track was released as a single. [14] [15] The song's style was announced as a "mix between Bruno Mars and Elvis [Presley]" and has been described as rockabilly [16] and as pop rock. [17] It was written by Frédéric Château (who had composed for Patricia Kaas, Florent Pagny, M Pokora and others) and Barbara Pravi (who had composed the 2019 and 2020 French Junior Eurovision entries and represented France at the 2021 "adult" Eurovision). [17] On 6 November, a recently shot music video for the song was released online. [17] [18] [19]

The contest took place on 11 December in Yerevan, Armenia, at the Karen Demirchyan Concert and Sports Complex. [20] For his performance, Lissandro was joined on stage by four backing dancers — Lola, Yana, Mahdy and Thimeo. [21] [17] [22]

Lissandro won the Junior Eurovision, finishing 42 points ahead of the runner-up. This was France's second victory in the contest, after that of Valentina in 2020 with her song "J'imagine". [23] [24]
