The 2014 Hockey India League (known as the Hero Hockey India League for sponsorship reasons), abbreviated as HIL 2014, is the second season of the professional field hockey tournament, Hockey India League. [1] [2] The season will see the addition of one new franchise, Kalinga Lancers, making a total of six franchises in the league. [1]

Hockey India League (HIL), known as the Coal India Hockey India League is a professional field hockey league in India. The league is organized by Hockey India, the governing body for the sport in India. HIL consists of six teams, with the regular season lasting two months from January to February, with each team playing 10 games.
