Adelaide United Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Hindmarsh, Adelaide. The club was formed in 2003, as they became the first and only South Australian member admitted into the A-League Men in 2005.

Adelaide United have won eight top-flight titles, and hold the record for the most Australia Cup wins, with three. The club's record appearance maker is Eugene Galekovic, who made 285 appearances between 2007 and 2017. Craig Goodwin is Adelaide United's record goalscorer, scoring 60 goals.

Honours and achievements

Adelaide United's first ever silverware was won in 2006. The A-League Men Premiership, won by the club was Adelaide United's first trophy. In 2019 they became the most successful club in Australia Cup history with three titles. [1]

Adelaide United Football Club is a professional men's soccer club located in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club was one of the eight founding members of the A-League Men and have competed in it concurrently since its formation, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues.

Eugen Josip Galekovic is an Australian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is the current goalkeeper coach for Adelaide United. Having played over 250 games in the A-league, 238 of those for Adelaide United, he is considered one of the greatest A-league goalkeepers of all time, and one of Adelaide United greatest players.

Wellington Phoenix Football Club is a New Zealand professional association football club based in Wellington Central, Wellington. The club was formed in 2007 to be the second New Zealand member admitted into the A-League Men after the demise of New Zealand Knights.

The 2012–13 Adelaide United FC season was the club's eighth A-League season. It includes the 2012–13 A-League season as well as any other competitions of the 2012–13 football season, including the 2012 AFC Champions League. Adelaide United will compete in the continental competition for the fourth time, progressing past the Group Stage by topping the group for the third time, thus making the club the most successful Australian club in Asia.

The 2014 FFA Cup Final was the inaugural final of the FFA Cup, the premier soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. The match was an all A-League affair, contested between Adelaide United and Perth Glory at Coopers Stadium on 16 December 2014. Although future editions of the tournament will involve the Cup final being played late in the Australian summer, this season's final was brought forward in order to avoid a clash with the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, which was hosted by Australia. Adelaide United were the inaugural champions, winning 1–0 with Sergio Cirio scoring the lone goal of the match shortly after Joshua Risdon was sent off for a second bookable offence, reducing Perth to 10 men.
