John Fredrik Michael Pettersson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey right winger. He last played for the ZSC Lions in the National League (NL). He previously played for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and HC Donbass in the Kontinental Hockey League, HC Lugano in the National League (NL) and Frölunda HC in Sweden. He played with the Swedish national team on several occasions and was a member of gold and bronze medal winning squads at the World Hockey Championship.

He began his NHL career with the Ottawa Senators before being traded to the Phoenix Coyotes. On March 4, 2014, he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. He won the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2015.

Yann Michel Sauvé is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for Brûleurs de Loups of the Ligue Magnus. He was drafted by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Vancouver Canucks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, selected in the second round, 41st overall. He played major junior hockey with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for four seasons before he joined the Canucks' minor league affiliates in 2010. He split the 2010–11 season between the Canucks and their two minor league teams, the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Canucks changed AHL affiliates twice, and Sauve joined the Chicago Wolves and Utica Comets as a result. Sauvé was born in Montreal, Quebec, but grew up in Rigaud, Quebec.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Zemgus Girgensons</span> Latvian ice hockey player (born 1994)

Zemgus Girgensons is a Latvian professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nicknamed "the Latvian Locomotive", he was selected 14th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Sabres. With this selection, Girgensons became the highest-drafted Latvian in NHL history, 16 spots higher than previous highest selection, Sandis Ozoliņš, in 1991. In the previous year, Girgensons was selected in the second round, 28th overall, in the 2011 KHL Junior Draft by CSKA Moscow. Girgensons was voted to the NHL All-Star Game in 2015.

The CHL Import Draft is an annual event in which every team in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) may select the rights to eligible import players. An import is classified as a player who does not have residency status in either Canada or the United States. The draft is conducted online, during the last week of June, or first week of July, following the NHL Entry Draft. Teams from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, systematically take turns making selections. Teams can have a maximum of two imports which may only be obtained through the draft. The draft is open to all position players, but a ban on drafting European goalkeepers was in effect from 2014 to 2017. As of the 2022 draft, 2,026 players have been selected, with many later going onto the National Hockey League.

The 2013 KHL Junior Draft was the fifth entry draft held by the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), taking place on 25–26 May 2013 in Druzhba Arena. Ice hockey players from around the world aged between 17 and 21 years of age were selected. Players eligible to take part in the draft were required to not have an active contract with a KHL, MHL or VHL team.

Daniyar Zhandosuly Kairov is a Kazakh professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Barys Astana in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The 2014 KHL Junior Draft was the sixth entry draft held by the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). It took place on May 8, 2014. Ice hockey players from around the world aged between 17 and 21 years of age were selected. Players eligible to take part in the draft were required to not have an active contract with a KHL, MHL or VHL team.
