The following is a list of managers of Coventry City Football Club and their major honours from the beginning of the club's official managerial records in 1883 to the present day.

The most successful person to manage Coventry City, to date, is Jimmy Hill, who guided The Sky Blues to become champions of Second Division and Third Division. The club's longest-serving manager is Harry Storer, who had two spells managing the club from 1931 to 1945 and from 1948 to 1953, totalling 19 years and 1 month.

George William Curtis was an English association footballer who played in the Football League as a defender for Coventry City and Aston Villa. He made 543 appearances for Coventry between 1956 and 1969, the club's record for an outfield player, winning the 1963–64 Third Division and the 1966–67 Second Division titles and also playing in the First Division from 1967 until 1969. With Aston Villa, he was part of the side which won the 1971–72 Third Division.

The club was founded in 1883 as Singers F.C. by Willie Stanley, an employee of cycle firm Singer Motors. In 1898, the name was changed to Coventry City. The 2016–17 season is Coventry City's 133rd season in their existence and fifth consecutive in the English third tier, League One. Along with competing in League One, the club participated in three cup competitions: FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy.

The 2018 EFL League Two play-off Final was an association football match played on 28 May 2018 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Coventry City and Exeter City. The match determined the fourth and final team to gain promotion from EFL League Two, English football's fourth tier, to EFL League One. The top three teams of the 2017–18 EFL League Two season gained automatic promotion to League One, while the teams placed from fourth to seventh in the table took part in play-off semi-finals; the winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2018–19 season in League One. Exeter finished in fourth place while Coventry ended the season in sixth position. Lincoln City and Notts County were the losing semi-finalists.

The 2022–23 season is the 139th season in the existence of Coventry City Football Club and the club's third consecutive season in the Championship. In addition to the league, they will also compete in the 2022–23 FA Cup and the 2022–23 EFL Cup.

The 2022–23 Women's Championship season was the fifth season of the rebranded Women's Championship, the second tier of women's football in England.
