Louise Nevelson was an American sculptor known for her monumental, monochromatic, wooden wall pieces and outdoor sculptures. Born in the Poltava Governorate of the Russian Empire, she emigrated with her family to the United States in the early 20th century. Nevelson learned English at school, as she spoke Yiddish at home.

<i>Sutphin Fountain</i>

The Sutphin Fountain is a fountain located at the Newfields campus, directly adjacent to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA), which is near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The granite and concrete fountain was designed by Stuart O. Dawson of Sasaki, Dawson, DeMay Associates, Inc. in 1972.

<i>Snowplow</i> (di Suvero) Abstract outdoor sculpture by Mark di Suvero

Snowplow is an abstract outdoor sculpture by American artist Mark di Suvero located on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The sculpture was purchased in 1975 by the Indianapolis Sesquicentennial Commission and first installed in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1977.

Broken Walrus II, is a public sculpture by American artist Gary Freeman, created in 1976 and located at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which is near Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is made of mild steel and is approximately 84 x 84 x 276 inches. The sculpture has been described by Freeman as looking like a grasshopper.

La Hermana del Hombre Bóveda is a public artwork by Spanish artist Pablo Serrano, located at Newfields, the museum campus that houses the Indianapolis Museum of Art near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The artwork is an abstract bronze piece which tops a granite fountain.

<i>Night Wall I</i> Sculpture in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.

Night Wall I is a sculpture by Louise Nevelson, installed outside Hauser Hall at Harvard Law School, on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The 1972 painted steel sculpture was donated to Harvard University Art Museums by Mildred and Arnold Glimcher in 1985.
