This is a list of seasons completed by the Old Dominion Monarchs football team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, representing Old Dominion University in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference. Old Dominion has played their home games at S.B. Ballard Stadium (formerly Foreman Field) in Norfolk, Virginia since 1936. [1]
The Monarchs fielded their first team in 1930 under head coach Tommy Scott as the William & Mary Norfolk Division Braves. According to statistics, the NCAA does not recognize the Monarchs' 1930–1940 seasons. [2]

Old Dominion University (ODU) is a public research university in Norfolk, Virginia. Established in 1930 as the two-year Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary, it began by educating people with fewer financial assets in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area of the Hampton Roads region. Later Virginia Polytechnic Institute also began offering classes for the Division. The Division became independent from William and Mary in 1962 and has since expanded into a residential college for traditional students and is one of the largest universities in Virginia with an enrollment of 23,494 students for the 2023 academic year. The university also enrolls over 600 international students from 99 countries. Its main campus covers 250 acres (1.0 km2) straddling the city neighborhoods of Larchmont, Highland Park, and Lambert's Point, approximately five miles (8.0 km) north of Downtown Norfolk along the Elizabeth River.
Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium, formerly Foreman Field, is a 21,944-seat multi-purpose stadium on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. It opened in 1936 with a football game between the University of Virginia and the College of William & Mary's Norfolk Division, which is now Old Dominion University. It is currently the home of Old Dominion Monarchs football.

The Monarchs compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and are members of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC); the university joined the conference on July 1, 2022.

The Old Dominion Monarchs football program represents Old Dominion University in U.S. college football. The first iteration of the team created in 1930 was known as the William & Mary Norfolk Division Braves. Founded in 2009, the current Monarchs team competed as an FCS independent for their first two seasons. In the 2011 season, they joined the Colonial Athletic Association and added conference games to their schedule, playing there until joining the Conference USA of the FBS in 2014. They joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2022.
Robert S. Wilder is an American college football coach who serves as the head football coach for Tennessee Tech University. Before that, served as the head coach of the Old Dominion Monarchs football team. He was only the second coach all-time in the program's history and the first since football's rebirth at the school in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in 2009.
The Old Dominion Monarchs baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. The team is a member of the Sun Belt Conference, which is part of NCAA Division I. Old Dominion's first baseball team was fielded in 1931 as the William and Mary College – Norfolk Division Braves. ODU joined Division I in 1977. The team plays its home games at Bud Metheny Baseball Complex in Norfolk, Virginia, where it has played since 1982. ODU has won six conference tournament titles and have been to the NCAA tournament nine times. The Monarchs are coached by Chris Finwood, a native of Hampton, Virginia, who is in his eleventh year at the helm. The Monarchs have had eleven players reach the Major Leagues and two, Justin Verlander and Daniel Hudson, have played in the World Series.

The 2014 Old Dominion Monarchs football team represented Old Dominion University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by sixth-year head coach Bobby Wilder and played their home games at Foreman Field at S. B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia. The 2014 season marked the inaugural season for the Monarchs as a member of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), joining Conference USA and competing in the East Division. Old Dominion finished the season 6–6 to finish in a three-way tie for third place in the East Division. Despite finishing 6-6, Old Dominion was not invited to a bowl game, as they were in the second of a two-year transition period to the FBS and was ineligible for postseason competition.

They were members of the East Division of Conference USA. 2015 was the first year Old Dominion was a full member of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and eligible for postseason play. They finished the season 5–7, 3–5 in C-USA play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place in the East Division.
The 2016 Old Dominion Monarchs football team represented Old Dominion University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Monarchs played their home games at the Foreman Field at S. B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia and competed in the East Division of Conference USA (C–USA). They were led by eighth-year head coach Bobby Wilder. They finished the season 10–3, 7–1 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for the East Division championship. Due to their head-to-head loss to WKU, they did not represent the East Division in the C-USA Championship Game. They were invited to the Bahamas Bowl, their first ever bowl appearance, where they defeated Eastern Michigan for their first ever bowl victory.

The Norfolk State–Old Dominion rivalry refers to games between the Norfolk State Spartans of MEAC and the Old Dominion Monarchs of the Sun Belt Conference. The two schools are the only NCAA Division I schools in Norfolk, Virginia.

Previously a member of the Sun Belt until 1991, the University did not field a football team at that time, nor did the conference sponsor the sport. They are the two largest and most historically tenured NCAA Division I rivals in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
The 1984–85 Old Dominion Lady Monarchs basketball team represented Old Dominion University during the 1984–85 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Monarchs, led by eighth-year head coach Marianne Stanley, played their home games at the Old Dominion University Fieldhouse, and alternatively at the Norfolk Scope, in Norfolk, Virginia. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference.
