The Richmond Football Club are a professional Australian rules football team based in Richmond, Victoria that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). From its founding in 1885 until 1907 Richmond competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). It left the VFA to join the VFL in 1908 and has competed in each season since. Richmond have won two VFA/VFL premierships and thirteen VFL/AFL premierships.

The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is a professional Australian rules football team competing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Founded in 1885 in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1885 to 1907, winning two premierships. Richmond then joined the Victorian Football League from the 1908 season and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020.

Louis William Schmidt was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) in 1907 then in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1908 to 1911, and again in 1921. He played for the St Kilda Football Club between 1912 and 1914, and again from 1918 until 1920.
Michael John Bowden was an Australian rules football player and Indigenous advocate. Bowden played 59 matches for the Richmond Football Club in the VFL between 1967 and 1971. Henry Archibald Richardson was an Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1902 through 1904. He served in the Australian Army during World War I, later moving to the United States and serving in the United States Army during World War II. He died at the age of 101 in March 1981. For many years he was credited with playing for St Kilda in the VFL and was known as the longest-lived St Kilda player, however these games are now credited to other players.
