Presidential Film Awards is a film award ceremony held in Sri Lanka. It is organized by the National Film Corporation along with the Presidential Secretariat and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. It was 1st awards in 1979 by President J. R. Jayewardene, and continue till 2004. The awards were not held from 2005 to 2014 when Mahinda Rajapakse was president. The award started to be presented again in 2015 by President Maithripala Sirisena, and last awarded by President Ranil Wickramasinghe in 2023.

Akkara Paha is a 1970 Sri Lankan drama film directed by Lester James Peries, with the screen play dialogue and script by Tissa Abeysekara. The film stars Milton Jayawardena as Sena, Anoma Wattaladeniya as Sadha and Malini Fonseka as Kumari.

Doo Daruwo was one of the longest running Sri Lankan television serials, airing from 1990 to 1995. It was one of the most popular shows of its time and drew in 8 million viewers at its peak.

Ira Handa Yata (Under the Sun and Moon) (Sinhala: ඉර හඳ යට) is a 2010 Sri Lankan Sinhala war drama film directed by Bennett Rathnayake and co-produced by Samanmalee Hewamanna and Bennett Rathnayake for Ben Films. It stars two debutantes Dharshani Tasha, and Udara Rathnayake in lead roles along with Saumya Liyanage, Jagath Benaragama and Damitha Abeyratne in supportive roles. Music co-composed by Rohana Weerasinghe and Nadeeka Guruge. It is the 1144th film in the Sri Lankan cinema.

Deweni Inima is a 2017 Sinhalese Sri Lankan television prime-time soap opera which premiered on 6 February 2017 on TV Derana. The series is directed by Saranga Mendis, produced by Chamika Mendis and written by Saman Edirimunee. It airs every weekday from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The first season was aired from 6 February 2017 to 6 October 2023. The second season premiered on 9 October 2023.

It is the 1313th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema.

The 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament is the 1st season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Sri Lanka. 15 teams in total, five representing four provinces of Sri Lanka and a Sri Lanka Schools XI team participating in the competition. The competition began on 17 August 2004, when Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club played the Police Sports Club at Colts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo.

In November 2005 President of Sri Lanka Chandrika Kumaratunga awarded national honours to 231 individuals for distinguished services. The awards ceremony was held on 14 November 2005 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.

It stars ensemble cast of veteran and young artists including Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi in lead role along with Mahendra Perera, Sriyantha Mendis, Gihan Fernando, Priyantha Seneviratne and Srimal Wedisinghe in supportive roles. Music composed by Mahesh Denipitiya.

Anthima Reya (Night of Destiny) (Sinhala: අන්තිම රැය) is a 1998 Sri Lankan Sinhala drama thriller film directed by Gamini Fonseka and produced by Lucky Dias. It stars director and producer themselves with Malani Fonseka in lead roles along with Cletus Mendis and Daya Alwis. Music composed by Somapala Rathnayake. It is the 901st Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema.

<i>Kolamba Ithaliya</i> 2021 Sri Lankan teledrama

Colomba Ithaliya is a Sri Lankan comedy-drama television series, broadcast on Independent Television Network. It is directed by Jayaprakash Sivagurunathan, produced by Sudharma Jayawardhana and written by Nilantha Perera. It airs every weekday from 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm onwards. The series started on 31 May 2021. It has received negative reviews from critics, particularly on screenplay and performances.
