Indian cinema is composed of multilingual and multi-ethnic film art. In 2022, Hindi cinema represented 33% of box office revenue, followed by Telugu representing 20%, Tamil representing 16%, Kannada representing 8%, and Malayalam representing 6%. Other prominent film industries are Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Gujarati, Assamese and Bhojpuri cinema. This list comprises actors from all these industries across India.

<i>Daag</i> (1973 film) 1973 Indian film

Daag: A Poem of Love (transl. Smear) is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film produced and directed by Yash Chopra in his debut as a producer, which laid the foundation of Yash Raj Films. It is an adaptation of the 1886 Thomas Hardy novel The Mayor of Casterbridge. The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore and Raakhee in lead roles, with Madan Puri, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra and A. K. Hangal.

The Bhojpuri Film Awards are an awards ceremony recognizing the best of Bhojpuri cinema. The awards have been presented annually since 2005.

Yash Bharati Award is the highest civilian award of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Instituted in 1994, it is awarded to those personalities whose contribution is remarkable in the field of literature, social work, medicine, film, science, journalism, handicrafts, culture, education, music, drama, sports, industry and astrology.

Kanoon is an Indian television courtroom drama/crime series. The 111-episode Hindi series had its original run from 1993 to 1996 on DD Metro. It was produced by B. R. Chopra and directed by his son Ravi Chopra. The music was composed by Ravi. Make-up for the series was done by Vimal Devkar. The concept of the story was given by Satish Bhatnagar, Sachin Bhowmik, Kulwant Jain and Hasan Kamal. Four seasons of the show were telecasted.
