Ahmed Zaki Metwally Abdelrahman Badawi, usually known as Ahmed Zaki, was an Egyptian film actor. He was characterized by his talent, skill, and ability in impersonating. He was also famous for his on-screen intensity. Though he first appeared in a small role in a comedy play, he is widely regarded as one of the most talented male actors, especially in dramatic and tragic roles. Zaki has worked in six films that have been listed in the Top 100 Egyptian films.

The cinema of Egypt refers to the flourishing film industry based in Cairo, sometimes also referred to as Hollywood of the East or Hollywood on the Nile. Since 1976, the capital has held the annual Cairo International Film Festival, which has been accredited by the FIAPF. There are an additional 12 festivals. Of the more than 4,000 short and feature-length films made in MENA region since 1908, more than three-quarters were Egyptian films. Egyptian films are typically spoken in the Egyptian Arabic dialect.

Banipal is an independent literary magazine dedicated to the promotion of contemporary Arab literature through translations in English. It was founded in London in 1998 by Margaret Obank and Samuel Shimon. The magazine is published three times a year. Since its inception, it has published works and interviews of numerous Arab authors and poets, many of them translated for the first time into English. It is also co-sponsor of the Saif Ghobash–Banipal Prize for Arabic Literary Translation.

Dakahlia Governorate is an Egyptian governorate lying northeast of Cairo. Its area is approximately 3,500 km2. Although the capital of the governorate is Mansoura, it got its name from the ancient town of Daqahlah which is located in the modern Damietta Governorate.

Nasser 56 is a 1996 Egyptian historical film directed by Mohammed Fadel, starring Ahmed Zaki. The film focuses on the nationalization of the Suez Canal by Egypt's second President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the subsequent Suez War with Israel, the United Kingdom, and France.

The Sawiris Cultural Award is an Egyptian literary prize, awarded annually by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development. It was inaugurated in 2005 with prizes in two categories: novels and short stories. Since then, additional categories in screenplays and playwriting have been added. Each award is also divided into two sub-categories: senior writers and junior writers.

The Declaration of the Republic was a constitutional declaration issued by the Revolutionary Command Council of Egypt on June 18, 1953. The purpose of this document was to begin Egypt's transition to a republic and to appoint Major General Muhammad Naguib as the republic's President.

Dar Shorouq is an Arabic publishing house based in Beirut and Cairo. It publishes books in politics, biographies, memoirs, history, philosophy, social sciences, religion, nationalist thought, and art as well as children's books.

Allah maana is an Egyptian film released in 1955. Premiering on November 14 of that year, it was directed by Ahmed Badrakhan with a screenplay co-written by him and Ihsan Abdel Quddous and an all-star cast including Faten Hamama, Emad Hamdy, Magda al-Sabahi, and Mahmoud el-Meliguy. The film was censored to the point of almost preventing release, according to film critic and historian Aly Abou Shadi, over the portrayal of 1952 coup leader Mohammed Naguib. It was saved by Gamal Abdel Nasser’s approval, underlined by his attending the premiere at the Rivoli Cinema.

Road to Eilat is a 1994 Egyptian war film directed by Inaam Mohammed Ali and features Salah Zulfikar in a special appearance as Admiral Fouad Abu Zikry, the commander of Egyptian Navy. The film stars Ezzat El Alaili and Nabil Al-Halfawi. The film is Salah Zulfikar's final film role.

Three Women is an Egyptian film released in 1968. It tells three separate stories about three women, featuring Sabah, Huda Sultan and Mervat Amin as the three women. The film is written by Ihsan Abdel Quddous and stars Salah Zulfikar, Ahmed Ramzy and Shoukry Sarhan.

The Holy Man is an Egyptian film released in 1959. The film is based on Molière's play Tartuffe.

The 18th Parliament of Jordan was elected at the 2016 Jordanian general election. 130 members were elected and had the right to sit in the National Assembly of Jordan.
