The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan is the official representative of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation to the President and the Government of Uzbekistan.
The ambassador and his staff work at large in the Embassy of Russia in Tashkent. [1] The post of Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan is currently held by Oleg Malginov , incumbent since 5 March 2021. [2]
With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan were first established on 20 March 1992. [3]

Abdulaziz Khafizovich Kamilov is an Uzbek politician who was Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2022. Previously he served in the same post from 1994 to 2003.
The Embassy of the Republic of Iceland in Moscow is the diplomatic mission of Iceland in the Russian Federation. The embassy is also accredited to Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. It is located at 28 Khlebny Lane in the Presnensky District of Moscow. The Spanish embassy in Moscow, Russia is also accredited for Uzbekistan. The Uzbek ambassador, Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov, declared that relations between the two countries have a "great potential not used", especially in agricultural, tourism and scientific matters, so he has invited the Spanish businessmen to "invest and contribute to the development of the country", such as companies Talgo and Marsans, and has expressed his desire that Spain open an Embassy in Tashkent "In the near future".
Filipp Filippovich Sidorsky was a Soviet and Russian diplomat. He served in various diplomatic roles from 1966 onwards, and was Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan between 1992 and 1997, and to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1998 to 2000.
