The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Peru is the official representative of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Peru.
Peru and Spain officially established relations on August 15, 1879, under Alfonso XII and have since maintained diplomatic relations with a brief exception during the years 1936 to 1939 as a result of the Spanish Civil War. [1]

Lima. El embajador de España en el Perú, don Manuel Alabart Miranda, anunció que se dispone a fomentar el turismo receptivo en este país. El señor Alabart, que regresó entusiasmado de su viaje a la ciudad peruana de Iquitos, enclavada en la Amazonia, aseguró que desea mantener una política de embajada abierta para todo lo que signifique progreso para los pueblos del Perú y España. El embajador señaló que la industria turística peruana podría aprovechar las experiencias logradas en España en los últimos años. He proyectado una exposición de fotografía y de carteles en Lima sobre las experiencias españolas en turismo dijo el embajador español. El señor Alabart aseguró que tiene el más vivo deseo de promover becas para los estudiantes peruanos en las escuelas especializadas de España.
