The ambassador of Spain to Romania is the official representative of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Romania. It is also accredited to the Republic of Moldova.

Contents

Spain recognized Romania's independence from the Ottoman Empire on 12 April 1880 and the following year both countries established diplomatic relations. [1] Relations were interrupted in 1947, following the abdication of King Michael I, and re-established in 1977, with the status of embassy. [2]
