1. Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They recognize several different recipients, have runners-up, and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.

G-Dragon is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, and a member of South Korean boy band Big Bang formed by YG Entertainment in 2006. He has won numerous awards and recognitions for his work in both the music and fashion industry.

Dong Young-bae, better known by his stage names Taeyang and SOL, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer. He made his debut in 2006 as a member of the South Korean boy band BigBang. Following the release of several albums and extended plays with his group, Taeyang pursued a solo career in 2008, releasing his first extended play, Hot. The EP was acclaimed by critics and went to win the award for Best R&B & Soul Album at the 6th Korean Music Awards. One of a Kind (G-Dragon EP) 2012 EP by G-Dragon

One of a Kind is the first extended play of South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper G-Dragon. It was released on September 15, 2012, digitally, and September 18 physically, through YG Entertainment. The EP consists of seven songs all written or co-written, and co-composed by G-Dragon himself.

"Fantastic Baby" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Big Bang. It was released as a single for digital download and streaming by YG Entertainment on February 29, 2012, in conjunction with the release of the band's fourth extended play (EP), Alive (2012). The song was written by members T.O.P, G-Dragon and long-time group collaborator Teddy Park, whilst production and composition was handled by the latter two contributors. A boisterous, sonic and dynamic EDM track, "Fantastic Baby" incorporates a multitude of hooks and catchphrases—most notably "Wow, fantastic baby" and "boom shakalaka".

The MAMA Award for Song of the Year is an honor presented at the annual MAMA Awards, a South Korean awards ceremony presented by Mnet. One of the event's most prestigious daesang awards, it was first awarded during the ceremony's eighth edition in 2006—then titled the Mnet KM Music Festival. Having gone through various name changes since its inaugural ceremony in 1999, it was renamed the Mnet Asian Music Awards from 2009 until it was rebranded as the MAMA Awards in 2022.

The Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Music Video is an award presented annually by CJ E&M (Mnet) at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. The event was launched in 1999 as the Mnet Video Music Awards and was primarily a music video-centered awards ceremony, modeled after the MTV Video Music Awards. From its inaugural ceremony up until the 2005 awards, the category was officially titled Music Video of the Year and consisted of one of the two daesang prizes, alongside the Most Popular Music Video category. In 2006, the event underwent an overhaul; the daesang status of the category was removed, and it was retitled as "Best Music Video". Meanwhile, the Most Popular Music Video category was discontinued.
