The constituent parts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi form an urban agglomeration. In the census of India 2011, an urban agglomeration (UA) has been defined as follows: [1]

"An urban agglomeration is a continuous urban spread constituting a town and its adjoining outgrowths (OGs), or two or more physically contiguous towns together with or without outgrowths of such towns. An Urban Agglomeration must consist of at least a statutory town and its total population (i.e. all the constituents put together) should not be less than 20,000 as per the 2001 Census. In varying local conditions, there were similar other combinations which have been treated as urban agglomerations satisfying the basic condition of contiguity."

This is a list of towns and cities that are constituent parts of the urban agglomeration (UA) of Delhi, a union territory of India. All have a population greater than 100,000, as counted in the 2011 census of India. [2]

Non-city constituents

The urban agglomeration (UA) of Delhi has 113 constituent parts, as identified by the Directorate of Census Operations, for the 2011 census of India. [3] Of these, 100 are defined as towns for census purposes, which may categorised as any of: Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, Cantonment Boards, Census Towns, or Out Growths, and 13 are cities. These, all with a population of 1 lakh or more, are noted below: [4]

Syana Tehsil is one of the seven tehsils (sub-districts) in district of Bulandshahar. Syana tehsil has 04 Census towns and 169 villages. The name of the tehsil is also written as "Siana" or "Siyana". As per Delimitation order of 2008 by Election Commission of India, the name of the tehsil is "Syana".

Khurd and Kalan are administrative designations used in India and Pakistan to indicate the smaller (Khurd) and larger (Kalan) segments of a town, village or settlement. They are usually added after place names. For instance, Berote Khurd and Berote Kalan in Abbottabad District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Dangoh Khurd in Una District of Himachal Pradesh and the many villages in delhi such as Holambi Khurd and Holambi Kalan, Pooth Khurd and Pooth Kalan and Mangolpur Khurd and Mangolpur Kalan in North west and north districts of Delhi and the famous Dariba Kalan jewellery market in Delhi, there was also a smaller street nearby, known as Dariba Khurd or Chhota Dariba, both mean small, now known as Kinari Bazaar.

Mundawar is a Tehsil in Kotputli-Behror district in Rajasthan State. Mundawar is 40 km from Alwar city.

Marar is a census town in the Ramgarh CD block in the Ramgarh subdivision of the Ramgarh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Tata Nagar Railway Colony is an Out growth in the Golmuri-cum-Jugsalai CD block in the Dhalbhum subdivision of the Purbi Singhbhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
