Wales Rally GB was the most recent iteration of the United Kingdom's premier international motor rally, which ran under various names since the first event held in 1932. It was consistently a round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar from the inaugural 1973 season until the rally's final running in 2019, and was also frequently included in the British Rally Championship.
The Safari Rally is an automobile rally held in Kenya. It was first held in 1953 as a celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The event was part of the World Rally Championship from 1973 until 2002, before returning in 2021. It is historically regarded as one of the toughest events in the World Rally Championship, and one of the most popular rallies in Africa. From 2003, a historical event has been held biennially.
The FIA Junior WRC Championship, is an international rallying series restricted to drivers under 29 years old, running within the framework of the World Rally Championship. The series is governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and promoted by M-Sport Ltd.
Sno*Drift is a rally racing event held in Montmorency County, Michigan, annually, with headquarters in Atlanta, Michigan. The event was the first Rally America National Rally Championship event of the season, and is currently the first American Rally Association National Championship. Sno*Drift is a winter rally, run primarily on snow-covered gravel surface roads, and is held in January or February. Unlike other snow rally events, studded tires cannot be used per Michigan law, which makes Sno*Drift particularly challenging.
Daniel Elena also known as "Danos" is a Monégasque rally co-driver working most notably with Sébastien Loeb. Between them the pair have won the World Rally Championship (WRC) nine times with Citroën, later competing with Hyundai. Their 79 wins together make him the co-driver with the most victories in the history of the WRC.
The Citroën Total World Rally Team was the Citroën factory backed entry into the World Rally Championship (WRC), run by Citroën Racing.
Romanian Rally Championship is the annual rally series in Romania. It is organized by FRAS.
The FIA WRC2 is a support championship of the World Rally Championship (WRC). The calendar consists of the same rallies and stages as the parent series and crews usually compete immediately after Rally1 class crews. WRC2 is limited to production-based cars homologated under Group Rally2 rules. There are separate specific championship titles awarded to Teams, Drivers and Co-Drivers.
PH Sport is a motorsport services company based in Langres, France, established in 1990. The company has a history of entering national and international rallies and championships such as the World Rally Championship, often in close cooperation with automobile manufacturers Citroën and Peugeot, and the Equipe de France team of the French Federation of Automobile Sport (FFSA).
Lorenzo Bertelli is an Italian businessman in the fashion industry and a rally driver. He is the son of Prada majority owners, fashion designer Miuccia Prada and her husband, the businessman Patrizio Bertelli.
The Wales Rally GB 2015 was the thirteenth and last round of the 2015 World Rally Championship season, held over 12–15 November 2015. The rally was won by Sébastien Ogier, his eight victory of the 2015 WRC season. It was also noticeable for the discovery and subsequent murder investigation of the Clocaenog Forest Man by two spectators.
The 2016 Rally Argentina was the fourth round of the 2016 World Rally Championship. The race was held over four days between 21 April and 24 April 2016, and operated out of Córdoba, Argentina. Hyundai's Hayden Paddon won the race, his first win in the World Rally Championship.
Pascal Ickx is a Belgian former racing driver that competed on circuits for Grand Touring sports cars in the 1960s.
Alessandro Gelsomino is an Italian rally co-driver. Born in Palermo, he is best known of his 17-year association with American Ken Block in rallying from 2005 until his death in 2023.
The 2022 European Rally Championship is the 70th season of the FIA European Rally Championship, the European continental championship series in rallying. The season is also the ninth following the merge between the European Rally Championship and the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Andreas Mikkelsen was the reigning champion. Javier Pardo Siota is the reigning champion of ERC 2, now renamed as ERC Open, while Jean-Baptiste Franceschi is the reigning champion of ERC 3 - now renamed as ERC 4.
Tuta Mionki is a Kenyan rally driver, co-driver and navigator who was crowned the Kenya Motor Sports Personality of the year 2018. She also holds the Kenya Motor Sports Federation Awards for the best co-driver of the season 2015 and 2016 (2-wheel-drive). Mionki was the first woman rally driver to join the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) Premier Class Motor Rallying.
The 2023 European Rally Championship was the 71st season of the FIA European Rally Championship, the European continental championship series in rallying. The season was also the tenth following the merge between the European Rally Championship and the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Hayden Paddon became the drivers champion.
Charlie Lubega is a Ugandan former rally driver who won the Pearl of Africa Rally championship in 2000, 2003 and 2004. He holds the record for the highest average speed (176-km/h) in the Africa Rally Championship event.
Chandra Kumar Chinnappa born in Bangalore is an Indian motorsports athlete and administrator. He is a racing driver and a rally co-driver. Chinnappa took part in Indian National bike races in various disciplines like rallies, autocross, motocross, hill climb and drag meets, and in later years he became a regular four-wheeler rally co-driver in the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) for an overall career spanning 34 active years as a competitor. Now he continues as a senior steward of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).
