This list of hospitals in Ukraine includes notable and noteworthy hospitals in Ukraine throughout its history. Despite the reduction of the number of hospitals in the late 1990s because of fiscal constraints, Ukraine still has an extensive health care infrastructure. Ukraine went from 3,754 hospital beds in 1994 to 2,369 hospital beds in 2012. During this period, many of the rural hospitals were converted to primary care clinics. [1]

Kyiv Oblast is an oblast (province) in central and northern Ukraine. It surrounds, but does not include, the city of Kyiv, which is a self-governing city with special status. The administrative center of the oblast is in Kyiv city, the capital of Ukraine, despite the city not being part of the oblast. The Kyiv metropolitan area extends out from Kyiv city into parts of the oblast, which is significantly dependent on the urban economy and transportation of Kyiv.

The Sich Riflemen Halych-Bukovyna Kurin were one of the first regular military units of the Ukrainian People's Army.
